Validity of Dubai business visa and stay period

You can get a Dubai visa for a temporary 30-day stay if you reside in the UAE. You must convert this visa to a residency permit before the expiry date.

If you are outside the UAE, you will get a temporary multi-entry 180 days (six months) Dubai visa to explore UAE opportunities and settle there. You must convert this visa to a Dubai residency permit before expiry.

You can convert your temporary Dubai visa to a residency permit at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security.

Processing time for a Dubai business visa

Generally, processing a Dubai visa takes about 60 days (two months). The initial visa application and its review may take about 30 days. Afterwards, applicants get 30 days to fulfil the requirements stated by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, such as submitting documents and getting a medical assessment.

Documents for Dubai business visa

You need the following documents to apply for a Dubai business visa

  • Proof of hotel reservation
  • A scanned copy of your passport's front and last page (the passport must have at least six months of validity)
  • Cover letter from the applicant stating the duration and purpose of the visit
  • A photocopy of coloured photographs that meet the Dubai visa specifications
  • Original and photocopy of Income Tax Returns
  • Original confirmed return or onward air ticket (necessary for Ok to Board)
  • Cover letter from the company
  • A female travelling alone requires NOC from her husband or father
  • Original and photocopy of investment documents (financial proof)
